Actuarial Equivalence Test Industry Pension Fund

You are obliged to join an industrywide pension fund (IPF) and are looking for an exemption for your own pension plan? Then the industrywide pension fund requires you to demonstrate that your pension scheme is at least actuarially equivalent to the scheme of the industrywide pension fund. Meijer Pensioen assists you in conducting an actuarial equivalence test and preparing an actuarial equivalence statement for your exempted pension scheme. With our solid knowledge of Dutch pension schemes and industrywide pension funds, we take care of you completely in conducting actuarial equivalence tests and preparing an actuarial equivalence statement.

Exemption from mandatory participation in the industrywide pension fund for your own pension scheme

Mandatory participation in the industry pension fund is an overlooked issue for some employers. Not always is there consideration of possible mandatory participation. The employer assumes that there is no mandatory pension scheme and offers its employees its “own” pension scheme. At the start of business activities, when there is a change in business activities, or when there is a change in the workforce (for example, due to mergers/acquisitions), it is wise for an employer to consider whether there is mandatory participation in an industrywide pension fund (IPF). No employer wants to deal with the applicability of two different pension schemes. Aside from the unforeseen premium burden associated with it, there can be significant tax problems. That’s why it’s a good idea to have a check performed by the specialists at Meijer Pensioen. For questions, you can always call or email us.

About us

Meijer Pensioen can be found in Zuidlaren and Amersfoort and is active throughout the Netherlands and abroad. Distance is not a limiting condition for the service.

Meijer Pensioen was founded in 2014 by Edwin Meijer and Gonard Wagenaar. From Consensio BV, Gonard has been providing specialist support for years in the field of annuity annuity/golden handshake, old age obligation and self-managed pension (PEB). Edwin Meijer supplements these advisory services from Meijer Pensioen with a special focus on Dutch collective pension schemes.

Edwin Meijer has been working in the pension world as an actuary (insurance mathematician) for years. Particularly due to his mathematical background, he is very well able to understand and assess pension matters, as well as the various pension products offered in the market in the Netherlands. Combined with the fact that he is able to communicate often quite complicated pension matters in understandable language, this makes him a special Dutch pension advisor.
